Engineering Education
Association (CEEA)

The Canadian Engineering Education Association (CEEA) is a new organization whose mission is to “enhance the competence and relevance of graduates from Canadian Engineering schools through continuous improvement in engineering education and design education.” This first annual CEEA conference integrated and grew on the previous efforts of the Canadian Design Engineering Network (CDEN) and the Canadian Congress on Engineering Education (C²E²).

We were pleased to have attendees from the broad community of engineering educators join us in beautiful St. John's, Newfoundland in June 2011 at our second annual conference. It was a highly successful conference and we received a great deal of positive feedback. Please see our 2011 Conference Highlights page for links to the proceedings.

The 3rd Annual CEEA/ACEG Conference will be held at the University of Manitoba in vibrant Winnipeg, Manitoba - The Heart of the Continent!

The Canadian Engineering Education Association (CEEA) is an organization whose mission is to “enhance the competence and relevance of graduates from Canadian engineering schools through continuous improvement in engineering education and design education.” This third annual CEEA conference continues to build on the previous efforts of the Canadian Design Engineering Network (CDEN) and the Canadian Congress on Engineering Education (C²E²). We strongly encourage the broad community of engineering educators – from faculties of engineering and applied science, arts, science, education to technical colleges, libraries, teaching and learning centres and industry to join us. Ed Crawley, one of the "powers" behind the CDIO movement, recently received the 2011 Gordon Award from the NAE. His acceptance speech is on utube. It is (in my humble opinion) worth the 10 minutes it takes to watch it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4lyz3jmuno
